Srinagar: Member of Parliament Aga Ruhullah Mehdi has announced his decision to join the protest demanding a rational reservation policy, honoring his earlier commitment to stand with citizens if the issue was not addressed by December 22. In a public statement, Mehdi acknowledged the formation of a sub-committee but highlighted that many believe the matter remains inadequately addressed.
The protest is scheduled for 2:00 PM tomorrow outside the Chief Minister’s residential office on Gupkar Road.
Mehdi urged participants to maintain civility and focus on genuine demands, emphasizing the need for a peaceful demonstration. He also called on political leaders to avoid exploiting the issue and to join the protest to show true solidarity with the people.
