Handwara Police Arrest Three for Alleged Facebook Honey-Trap Scheme

Handwara – In a major breakthrough, Handwara Police have arrested three individuals for their alleged involvement in a Facebook honey-trap scheme aimed at financial fraud. Following a complaint at Police Station Vilgam, an investigation led to the arrest of Firdous Ah Tantray, Danish Ah Bhat, and Aaliyan Ah Bhat, all residents of Dohama Vilgam. 

The suspects reportedly created a fake Facebook account, posing as a girl to deceive and extort money from victims. The police have seized their mobile phones and continue to investigate the case (FIR No. 43/2024). Authorities advise the public to be cautious about social media interactions and protect their personal information. The community has commended the swift action of the Handwara Police.
