Two Government Employees Terminated in J&K for Terror Links

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday ordered the termination of two government employees over their alleged links with terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. The action comes as part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to root out elements involved in anti-national activities from government services.

The employees have been identified as Khurshid Ahmed Rather, a teacher posted in Karnah, Kupwara, and Siyad Ahmad Khan, an Assistant Stockman in the Sheep Husbandry Department in Keran, Kupwara. Both individuals were found to be working for the banned terror organisation, according to official sources.

Law enforcement and intelligence agencies reportedly collected incriminating evidence against the duo, establishing their involvement in terror-related activities. The evidence included material that linked them directly to Lashkar-e-Taiba’s network in the region.

This move underscores the J&K administration's zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and its sympathizers within government ranks. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining security and ensuring that government employees uphold their duty towards the state and its citizens.
