TRF Commander Sajad Gul’s Three-Storey House Attached Under UAPA in Srinagar

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday (October 4, 2025) attached a three-storey house belonging to Sajad Gul, a senior commander of The Resistance Front (TRF), under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

According to officials, the property — valued at around ₹2 crore — was built on 15 marlas (approximately 4,083 square feet) of land in Rose Avenue, HMT area of Srinagar. As per revenue records, the house is registered in the name of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, father of the designated terrorist Sajad Ahmad Sheikh alias Sajad Gul.

The attachment was carried out under FIR No. 235/2022, registered at Police Station Parimpora, invoking sections 13, 38, 20 of UAPA and 2/3 of the EIMCO Act. Police said the action was taken under Section 25 of the UAPA, which allows attachment of properties used or intended for terrorist activities.

The process was executed in the presence of the concerned Executive Magistrate. Investigations revealed that although the property is in the father’s name, Sajad Gul is an active stakeholder.

Police further stated that Gul has been involved in facilitating terrorism, spreading anti-national propaganda, and inciting disaffection against the government through online and social media platforms.

“This attachment is part of Srinagar Police’s ongoing efforts to disrupt the financial, logistical, and operational networks of terrorism and their cross-border sponsors and sympathisers,” a police spokesperson said.
