Will bury India under debris of its own warplanes, says Pak Defence Minister

Pakistan Warns India of Retaliation After Army Chief’s Stern Remarks on Cross-Border Terrorism

Islamabad, Oct 6 — Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a sharp warning to India, saying that New Delhi would be “buried under the wreckage of its warplanes” if it dares to launch any military aggression. His remarks came in response to Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi’s recent statement that Pakistan could “lose its place on the world map” if it continues to back terrorism across the border.
General Dwivedi had cautioned that India would not show the same restraint as during Operation Sindoor 1.0, conducted earlier this year in response to a terror attack. The operation, according to Indian officials, destroyed key Pakistani military assets including radars, runways, and hangars.

India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also asserted that the country is prepared to “cross any border” to safeguard its people and sovereignty.

Reacting sharply, Asif accused India of trying to “regain lost credibility,” referring to past military encounters. He further warned that any misadventure by India would invite a crushing response.

The renewed exchange of threats has raised tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, reviving fears of another cross-border escalation similar to past standoffs.
