September 21, 2025 — While no direct warning was issued today, Pakistan has taken a firm position against Israel in recent weeks, linking its defense commitments to Saudi Arabia and openly criticizing Tel Aviv’s actions in the Middle East.
On September 19, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif declared that Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities would be “available” to Saudi Arabia if needed, shortly after Islamabad and Riyadh signed a historic defense pact. The statement came in response to an Israeli strike in Qatar, widely viewed as a warning aimed at Israel.
A day later, on September 20, Rana Sanaullah told Pakistan Today that Pakistan would respond strongly to any Israeli attack on Saudi Arabia. Earlier, on September 12, Pakistan rejected Israeli “smears” related to the Qatar conflict.
This is not the first time Islamabad has criticized Tel Aviv. In June 2025, Khawaja Asif branded Israel a “rogue state,” warning that continued Western support could have “catastrophic consequences.”
The backdrop of these sharp statements is Israel’s ongoing offensive in Gaza City, which enters its second year with mounting civilian casualties and global condemnation. Meanwhile, several countries, including Australia, Belgium, Britain, and Canada, are preparing to formally recognize a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly.
The Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defense pact is seen as a strategic boost to regional security coordination and a direct signal to Israel, further intensifying the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
